This past week, I guess was my week to be called an idiot and or stupid...why I dunno, or maybe I do.
The first time was from one of my long time friends because I told him I didn't think Barack, for what I believe he wants to do, should be the next president...he told me man, you know when I say something it is the truth and this guy is the truth... I told him while it may be the truth, I simply believe that Barack's goal is to try and unite The United States of America and show us that we are all people that live in the US, no matter if you are white, black, tan, or green. When I hear him speak and for what he says, he sounds more to me like Martin Luther King and I don't believe that MLK would have been able to do the things he did, had he been the President, and I think that sort of role will be perfect for Barack Obama.
As President of the US, there are so many more things he is going to have to worry about like the budget, immigration, foreign policies, health care, civil rights, education, homeland security, poverty, technology and a few other things I failed to mention, but you get my point. In taking care of all of these things something is going to fall by the waste side if not a few of them, and I really think his niche is organizing people... and I think he should concentrate on that and work closely with the President. He would have so much more value to the American people.
The second time this week that I was called an idiot was from a Senator that told had told me a few weeks earlier that I couldn't run for Mayor of Gary, because I don't have any political connections which I thought was crazy in itself...I understood what she was trying to say but my mother always told me that I could do or be anything that I wanted to do and just like Barack, wanting to change the way politics are done...would mean precisely that I could run for mayor and win, but then again, I wouldn't want to be the Mayor either... because I could add more value not having to worry about the all the issues that a Mayor has worry about... I wonder if that is why most of the politicians get so much negative press. She was calling me an idiot for my views on Barack and at the same time saying "Hillary is a bitch" and I told her laughing, I know that, that is why I like her so much, as do you think that she would have made it this far without being one, and I guess you made it to the Senate while being black woman on your good looks alone...nope I bet some people were calling you a bitch too... At that time I think I heard the dial tone.
Simply put, I believe that it is harder for a women to make it to the top without being a little bitchy as alot of men don't give them the credit they deserve.
I have always thought that a great President, Governor or Mayor would better suited if they came from running a successful business, someone like Donald Trump or Bill Gates because they are experts in putting the right people in place to handle certain tasks and politicians owe so many people favors in exchange for votes and endorsements, whether the people are qualified or not.
I say the greatest president could have been a person like Henry Ford or Andrew Carnegie, who admits that they didn't know everything but they knew how to surround themselves with the right people, Henry with Ford Motor Company and Andrew with US Steel... because in reality you are running the biggest business in the world.
So am I really an idiot for thinking like this?
