Alot of people are saying that they are tired of seeing the debates between the democratic candidates... I for on like them because I get a chance to see how candidates act under pressure...and to me so far Hillary have been far superior... that is just my take!

Being a resident of Indiana I was waiting until I got a call from either campaign and it happened today...it was Obama's campaign and I instantly asked them to give money to our local little league...that lady that called was like "that is not why I called"... I said, "you asked what issues am I concerned with" isn't that an issue...you are asking all these people to donate...can't you guys donate to the local little league, especially when opening day is this weekend...how about a bunch of signs...but you are going to have to pay for it...

I got transferred to the supervisor of Obama's Gary headquarters... he said we don't do that... I said "if I wanted a sign in my front yard, would yall bring it out" yep he said...well how about you guys shell out a few dollars and we will let yall put some signs in front of the little kids and their parents. guess what happened after that?

Do I vote for Barack because I am Black?

I was just wondering if the reason I need to vote for Barack Obama is because I am black? I thought we vote because we feel that the certain candidate is the best person for the job according to us...then why do people get mad if I say I am not voting for someone because of the color of our skin...is that crazy or am I the crazy one?

Please Politicians from all states do something about this...that person that you help could very well be one of your family members and then how would you feel?



DEAR (INSERT POLITICIANS NAME),

I RECENTLY SAW A STORY, ABOUT AN ABANDONED INFANT, ON NANCY GRACE, THAT GRABBED MY ATTENTION.

THE INFANT, THANK GOD, WAS FOUND ALIVE.

THE STORY, HOWEVER, COULD HAVE HAD A VERY DIFFERENT ENDING.

WHAT MORE, THE STATE WHERE THIS HAPPENED, HAS "SAFE HAVEN" LAWS.
WHICH GOT ME THINKING...

DID THE PERSON, WHO ABANDONED THIS CHILD, KNOW ABOUT "SAFE HAVEN" LAWS?
WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY POINT.

I BELIEVE A LAW SHOULD BE ENACTED, MANDATING "SAFE HAVEN" INFORMATION SIGNS, IN ALL PUBLIC RESTROOMS- ESPECIALLY IN SCHOOLS!

THEY COULD BE PLACED RIGHT ALONG BESIDE THE "REMEMBER TO WASH YOUR HANDS" SIGN.

I'M NOT NAIVE. I REALIZE "SAFE HAVEN" LAWS, AND PUBLIC AWARNESS OF THEM, WON'T SAVE ALL UNWANTED INFANTS- BUT I PROMISE, IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

AND, IF A HANDFUL, OR EVEN JUST ONE CHILD, IS SAVED, AS A RESULT, THEN DOESN'T THAT MAKE IT WORTHWHILE?

I URGE YOU, PLEASE, HELP BRING ATTENTION TO "SAFE HAVEN" LAWS, IN OUR STATE.

No SPANKIING LAW...spare the rod, spoil the child!

Over the last few days I have had this on my mind after seeing a news report of this proposed law in Massachusetts...are you kidding me, me a parent can go to jail and get fined for spanking my child...now I can understand beating a child i.e child abuse, but spanking.

I am sorry the government has no right to come into the home and make rules, are we giving children to much power and then we wonder why the crime and jail rate is going through the roof. I can honestly say that I have only hit my daughter 1 or 2 times in her 7 y/o life and both times it was totally called for...I would rather give her a little pain on her butt than watch her get sentenced to jail, and let the court system decide how to punish my child...I have always told my daughter's mom, my parents never had to pick me up from jail or come up with bail money to get me outta jail and I ain't either...

Now I do understand that there are a few of us parents that go above the call of duty and commit abuse of their child, even the Bible says spare the rod, spoil the child, is that not true? Why are they putting spanking your child and corporal punishment in the same breathe...using those words together makes it sound a lot worse than it really is...so let me get this straight, I believe that some children can be disciplined with words and something that I never have used...TIMEOUT!!! what the hell is that anyway? I can only imagine what types of things I would have done if I wasn't afraid that my dad or mom would have kicked my ass, but instead put me in TIMEOUT...ok so I disobey and I get put in the corner for a couple of hours, and then all is good, is that what they are calling JAIL these days "TIMEOUT"?

Do you agree with these new proposed laws? and I know if Indiana passed this no spanking LAW...I know they probably wouldn't care but Indiana would have one less citizen cause I am moving and moving quickly!

and here is another thing, what about this, when we elect a politician into office does that mean that we have to agree with their crazy views when they present these ideas to congressional body, was this something that based their platform on when they were running for office, I bet not, so I think that is something that we would need to vote on...I wouldn't be opposed to going back to the polls and voting on things that they believe in their hearts is right and get the consensus of the people that elected them, instead of some group that spends big dollars contributing to their election campaigns...this is starting to get sickening...how about we look at some of these other countries who don't play when it comes to crime...I wonder why their crime rates are a lot lower than ours...but then again is this a ploy to put more people in jail to give more judges, police officers, parole offices, lawyers more jobs and more income, or better yet build bigger prisons since they are becoming big money businesses...is this is the case, I want to buy a prison so I retire wealthy!

Just my take on a thought that I think is stupid, but these are the people that we vote into office, beware because once they get in, they make the rules whether we the people like them or not! That is the power that we give them, that is also another reason that why you need to vote!
