Can someone please answer this question...why do people steal and kill from each other?

What is the purpose, this is ridiculous!!!

Monday evening I was driving home and my sister called to tell that she was watching the news and it was a carjacking on 17th and Virginia by my house and to tell me to be careful and make sure I locked all the doors and windows. It was all over the news, me being kinda nosey and all drove past Virginia St since I was still in the car...there were many and I repeat many police cars and police officers combing the streets with huge assault rifles looking for the dumbest criminal in the world...and I say dumbest because committing crimes like this is the dumbest thing that I have ever heard...matter of fact they are all dumb...but why carjack someone?...are you mad because they have a nicer ride than you...what is the reason?...can someone explain this to me?

I rode down the street and as I was doing that my sister said that it was a young girl and her child in the vehicle...opps double stupid...yeah now I have turned it from dumb to stupid, I started calling all of my female friends that I knew had little ones...to check on them...all except for one...I don't know why I didn't but I missed one...maybe because I didn't notice the Ford Explorer that was being towed away...

It hit me this morning as I was listening to the 911 calls that it was one my good friends who I have not spoken to since last summer...it was her best friend and she had a new car so I didn't notice it...they used to always bring their kids out on the weekends to my softball games...and I didn't realize who it was until I heard the 911 tapes...This girl kept to herself always with a smile on her face, cracking jokes, making me laugh...and her child is dead, never getting to live a life, she will never get to see her child go to school for first time with the little lunch box...never get to see her child graduate from HS, never get to see her child enter college, never get to see her child get married...nothing, nada, zilch...are you kidding me? Just because of some idiot!!!

The question I ask is why?

listen to the 911 tapes and see if it doesn't bring chills up your spine...I know that voice on the 911 tapes from anywhere. I used to tease her all the time, because she sounds like a little baby and this is her best friend from when she was a little kid laying on the ground not responding.

This is not just a Gary, Indiana problem this is a world problem...so I ask the presidential hopefuls...instead of fighting the terrorist across the waters...what are we doing to fight the terrorist here in the United States...I say bring our troops home and let them fight this fight!!!

Rudy Clay(the mayor of Gary) what are you going to do? This type of senseless violence has to stop!

Best Buy doesn't want my money, they might not want your money either.


I am writing this at a time when I am really pissed off at Best Buy...not the whole company but the one store in Chicago, that I went to yesterday 1/29/2008 on 87th And Dan Ryan (Store 1122) (8900 S LAFAYETTE AVE Chicago, IL. 60620-1317) Phone number 773-723-5458.


Here is what happened, I went to the store to take a look at some Laptop computers to replace this old one that I have for my business...I had been researching on the internet for a computer that would grow with my business...so I had some free time and cash burning my pocket...while I was really just looking, like we always say, until we see exactly what we want and that is exactly what happened...I saw this Dell Computer that I was pretty much going to get from Dell but Best Buy had it and I felt...why wait for Dell to ship it when I could just get it now.


Now I will tell you at this time I had been in the Best Buy's computer department for over 20 minutes at this time without even one person saying "Can I help you" or "Hey we will be with you in just a few minutes" what did they say...absolutely nothing...it had to be like 3 or 4 employees walk past me...I am not saying they were not busy with other customers...but in my sales experience I was always taught to say we will be right you or I am going to get someone for you...hell they could have a cell phone rep to at least try to answer the questions that I didn't even have...what about going to get one of those guys from the Geek Squad...nope, nada, nothing!


Now I could have left the store but that simply is not me...most people probably would leave and then never come back and of course tell like 10+ other people...Best Buy has always been one of my favorite stores to deal with much different than Circuit City, hence the Best Buy banners on my page. I stayed for 25 minutes until someone finally said "can I help you" by this time...my burning desire to buy this computer had dwindled to nothing and now I only wanted to talk to management about how poor their customer service is or at least give them some tips on how to improve...especially with the internet and competition from other electronic stores, you can't deserve now a days to lose even one customer...because you might just get put on blast on someone blog to the world...like this one.


Now today 1/30/2008...of course I still have the urge to buy the computer I saw at best buy yesterday...mainly because the price was right, but I would pay a little higher price for good customer service....so I give them one more chance...after getting the store's general manager name(Vernon) who by the way is away at meetings this week, I found out after calling the store this morning...the 2nd person in charge was suppose to call me back about 3 hours ago...but no call!...damn I am trying to give them money and they will not even take it...


I am at the point now that they are going to have to pay me to buy the computer from them...not pay for the whole purchase, but you know they are going to have to give a little bit...ala gift card or discount...so here is what I did...I called Best Buys Customer Relations number 888-Best-Buy and talked to a guy named Brandon...who was like that is not how we do business...we strive to make every customer experience happy and he said he will forward the info the District Manager for investigation...I am not trying to get anyone in trouble...but sometimes I think people don't look at these jobs as all that important, I guess...maybe not the sales floor reps...but I bet when the District Mgr or General Mgr start to notice a decline in business and another stores business starts to increase...I wonder if they know that that those customers are traveling a little further to another store in the area because they get better service!


Does it have to be that way...certainly not...if you handle things the right way you will have customers for life.


Anyway...here is what I got...a $50 gift card coming my way(gas money for the return trip)...that put a smile on my face, not because I won, but because they know that is not their style...and btw Dwight(asst supv) thanks man for getting me the numbers like I asked for and being a good supervisor...just think about this, that might be your store one day...remember Calvin!

I guess in a nutshell I am writing this to bring awareness...I have been in several businesses that act like they don't like my money by the way they handle a customer that walks in the door...I guess when people start to walk out and go their competitors, they will finially understand how to do business the Disney Way. Why you need to turn off the TV sometimes

There is on-going questions as to whether TV is good for you or bad for you...

I have my opinion on TV...depending on what you are watching...it can be very bad for you or it can be very good for you...

A little about me...from about the beginning of 2000 to about 2003, I watched very little TV, and if I did...I watching TV for only 30 minutes to hour each day...I didn't watch the news either it was to depressing...every time I turn it on, somebody was dying or stealing something...it changed my mindset...I because a self-help guru!

I only watched TV that had positive stuff about it, because I didn't want to mess my mind up with that crap that was on...yeah I felt like the biggest nerd around my friends when they were talking about the latest reality show or what happened last night certain TV series...I had no clue what they were talking about...

Now I could tell them about how to get a promotion at their jobs, be better people and make more money but they were not interested in that...all they wanted to talk about was TV...which ain't even real...

I didn't even listen to radio no more...I was listening to tape on inspiration or motivation and building big business...reading book by people that have done big things in life like Zig Ziglar or Donald Trump...a wise man told me "that you have to do what others wont so you will have all the things that other want!" Now when my friends have a problem they come to me, because they know I did my homework already...

Am I crazy for polluting my mind with positive things...some might say so, but the people that matter think that that was a wise choice...especially since the quality of TV shows have gone down the drain!

I mean how many episodes of "I Love New York", "Flava of Love", "The Real World" and "Shot of Love with Tila Tequila" can you watch? I am not not knocking these shows, but really they fill our brains with crap.

I am one of those people that think that you can make you life exactly like you want...basically your own movie, but other think I am crazy when I say that...why can't you do that?

If you want to have a relationship and family like say "The Cosby Show"...why not? I think most of the stuff out there is crap as I said before...today I am watching shows like "The Big Idea" with Donny Deutsch...that is an outstanding show for people who want to have and own the very own successful businesses...or show like "The Apprentice". Donald Trump maybe one of the hardest people to work for, but his ideas are second to none and he will take you kicking and scratching up the corporate chain!

The Mayor of Detroit is a 8.9 Million Dollar Freak

Why in the world would you be using your city issued mobile devices to do stuff that can come back to hunt you...(have you ever heard about prepaid cell phones?) What is wrong with these people...cheating on your wife and you are the public figure(DA Mayor of a major city)...are you kidding me? These cats need to take a lesson from using your head(or maybe he did...LOL) or come to me for advice and I would tell them this one quote "What is done in the dark, will always come to light" it doesn't matter- it always does...no matter what...

The 1st thing I thought about was the story I heard a few years ago when the he was supposedly had the Strip Show at his house(Mayors Mansion) to celebrate being elected Mayor...I know he was young and all...but can you say Adam "Pac Man" Jones...make it rain on dem hoes...I think I remember that the wife walked in on the strip show and beat the crap out of one those chics and put her in the hospital and the chic was never heard from again and nothing happened to the wife, or was I dreaming this?

or the 2nd thought...President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky and the Cigars...wow, that is a powerful trio right there

and the 3rd thought...what type of crap is his wife going through, is she staying with him because she really loves her husband or all the prestige that goes along with being the Mayors wife and enjoys it...and doesn't want to be just a regular joe...what is it? is she waiting so when she divorces him...she can get an even bigger piece of the pie in alimony and child support, what is it? Can you imagine all the talking behind her back as the whole country knows that her husband is a freak.

The termination of Deputy Police Chief Gary Brown
Under oath at trial and in depositions, Kilpatrick and Beatty denied firing Brown for pursuing an internal affairs investigation involving the mayor, his police bodyguards and staff. Brown said he was fired in part because the mayor and Beatty feared their relationship would be exposed. Kilpatrick and Beatty testified that the mayor merely revoked Brown's appointment as a deputy chief, effectively demoting him to lieutenant, and that Brown then chose to retire.

The following is an excerpt from Beatty's city-issued paging device. The exchange came two days after Brown said at a press conference that he was fired.

CB: I'm sorry that we are going through this mess because of a decision that we made to fire Gary Brown. I will make sure that the next decision is much more thought out. Not regretting what was done at all, but thinking about how we can do things smarter.

My ending thoughts...this dude while maybe being a great Mayor needs to be tar'd and feathered! This cost the city of Detroit tax payers 8.9 million dollars after firing Gary Brown, so in a nutshell, shouldn't Kilpatrick and Beatty have to pay back tax payers because they lied in the first place and had to pay Gary Brown and his crew all that money.

Here is the scam...A scammer rings your doorbell or knocks on your door posing as a worker of the local water/utility company and states that he needs to check your pipes to make sure they are not freezing or some other type of problem that winter brings...while you escort him into your basement or where your water pipes are located, another person enters your house and goes through your things looking for valuables, while you are being distracted.

8 Tips on preventing these Scam Artists from ripping you off

• The Utility companies employees have names badges...if you have any doubt call your local utility company before letting them get it...don't trust a number that they give you...they could have a friend that is working with them.


• Tell them to come back at anther time


• Call 911


• Look for the utility truck outside


• Don't let anyone that you don't know inside your house, unless you have a pre-set appointment


• Don't let their creative story influence you to let them in your house...remember they are con artists.


• Just because they know your name doesn't mean that they didn't find it in the phone book or went through your garbage to get it

Toyota offering Free Car Battery Checks

As it gets colder and colder outside...matter of fact as I look at the weather today , it is -5 degrees right now in the Chicago land area...I was driving home from dropping off my girlfriend at work I heard that Toyota is offering Free Battery Checks...

When it comes down to it...this is something that you simply can't pass up because cold weather does something to cars that is not good...if you have even the slightest problem then the cold will make it even worse so I would say at least get it checked out to make sure your car battery is running at its very best...or get it replaced. ...because you don't want to have to walk down a dark street at night when the wind chill is below freezing and you are risking frostbite, because you procrastinated. I would also call everyone I know or forward this to them so that they know about what Toyota is doing.

So what I would do is - if I was driving a Toyota, is drive it into the nearest Toyota dealership, and I just called Tom(service mgr) at Lake Shore Motors in Chesterton, Indiana. to find out if I needed an appointment and he said no, just bring it in!

I don't know about you, but doesn't this shoe look like Derek Jeter could run out on the field this summer with a new shoe on...this time not being the Air Jordan's that he wore a few years back but the new king of the court...The Air Zoom V by Lebron James.

So you wanna build a web site? Before you do read this!!!

I was just thinking of why would I buy from someone else when I could buy from myself...I was watching the movie American Gangster last night and it kind of made me think...if you have watched it...you know the part that I am talking about...I am not talking about selling drugs.

I am talking about the scene at the beginning when he(Frank Lucas) and Bumpy Johnson were walking down the street and they went into the store that was selling TV's and other electronics and Bumpy said something to him like...you see this Sony TV...I bet you can get a better deal on this TV if you cut out the middleman like this retailer and went directly to Sony...do you see where I am going with this?

Ok, here is where I am going...why buy from someone else when you can cut out one or two0 middlemen...

For instance...lets just say that you wanted to build a website for your own personal reasons, whether you want to post pictures of your family, build a site that promotes your business, or sell some products, you know where you could make a few dollars 24 hours a day, 7 days a week...making money while you sleep...it can't get any better than that, right?

So what do you do, well you go to a site like godaddy.com why because they seem to have the biggest advertising budget out there...they always advertise during the biggest events like the Superbowl and the commercials are some of the best, what is sweet about that is that you can benefit from their commercials if you think about it...they are advertising because they are making money, they are spending millions of dollars because they can...I have fallen victim to their trap too...I got (2) url's with them http://www.gioperation.com/ and http://www.milliondollargrowth.com/ and I paid like $10 for each of them...you can go check both of them out if you want.

Back to where I was going, I can get off track a little sometimes, but I always seem to get back to where I am...so here goes... now I was doing research and I came across a company called GDI or Global Domains International and they also do exactly what godaddy.com does...they sell domain names as well and they sell something else that I will get to in a minute...but not only do they domain names, they also have a domain forwarding, hosting and all the other things you will need to get your web site up and running...here are the (2) that I got from them http://www.gioperation.ws/ and http://www.websitesales.ws/ ...why did I buy from them, well 2 reasons!

The 1st reason I did is because they have exclusive rights to the up and coming .ws extension and if you are like me and you go to http://www.websitesales.com/ you will find out that extension is gone as you will find that most of the good .com's are not available anymore...they have been scooped up, heck some of you that are reading this will find that your name isn't even available anymore in .com, but you will find that in .ws it is wide open...this company made a deal with the country of Western Samoa .ws to get the rights to sell their country extension because they had no need for it...pretty smart right...where do you think that .tv, .us, .in, .cc, .bz, .la and some of the other 2 letter extensions...guess what they all stand for some country code out there that had no need for it...but they are all available...what I like about .ws is the fact that it is marketed as .website! ...that is pretty ingenious on the GDI's part...which means that it is going to grow fast, at least in my opinion seeing the fact that over 80 million people already have .com's and most of the major companies have purchased all the extensions to their brand nmae like say ebay.com.

The 2nd reason I choose to do business with GDI is that...I like to make money, who doesn't? ...they have set the company up like a network marketing company like say an amway or primerica...because they realized that more goods and services are sold everyday by network marketers than the company could ever do in traditional advertising, it is also less expensive which mean that they will have better prices and can offer more options...so what they do is create banners and affiliates codes for people to put on their sites that others can click on that when a sales is made the referrer gets $1...can you beat that, refer 10 people and you have your web site and domain for free forever...pretty smart right, you betcha! you can add a banner on your page like the one that I have at the top of my page or the one that I have on the right side of my page or even click these links http://www.freedom.ws/gioperation, http://www.website.ws/gioperation, http://www.my.ws/gioperation, http://www.money.ws/gioperation, and http://www.movie.ws/gioperation, click any one of them will take you GDI's page that they have set up to do all the talking for you...and all for $10 a month...you can't beat that can you...and put in your information to see the animated video that even says your name which is really, really cool! You are going to get a couple follow up emails, from the company but you can opt out of them at any time...I did this back in November but I actually never opted out...I was checking to see if GDI was some type of scam, but I couldn't find anything like that...actually everyone that I talked to said they were happy with the service and when I first looked at, you could only get a .ws extension, now you can get any extension that you want as long as it is available...and that is from the beginning of 2008, that is what sold me!

The 3rd reason, was how easy it was and the value that I get for my $10...I get a domain name of my choice(if available), they have a web site builder(free), they have domain and email forwarding(free), domain hosting(free), domain parking service(free) and advanced users nameservers(free)...OK maybe these items are not free but they are included in my $10 a month fee...so in my opinion and my mind they are free because I would pay for them anywhere else...some sites offer free hosting, free web site builders, free blogs, free everything, but it does not come without a cost...why because they are throwing their advertising all over it and if you are like me then you only want your stuff displayed...that is like buying a car and they put their www on your back window and they are not paying you to drive around with that advertising...somebody is making the money, why not you and me?

The 4th and final reason is that if you click any of those links or banners...you get to work with me..and if you have ever been involved in any network marketing business or worked for someone else...you know how hard it can be...it is not some get rich quick scam, they bible says you should stay away from those, because you will get broke even quicker...I like the concept of get rich slow if you are looking for some extra income...then I will help you, if you are looking just for a nice web site that your friends and family can stay updated on how you guys are doing...I will help you do that, if you are like me...I like all of them...I keep my MYSPACE updated with family pics and such...you can go check them out...now I will tell you that you must send me a friend request so that I can check you out...I have pictures of my little girl, my nieces and nephews that I don't want getting into the wrong hands unless you are offering them modeling contracts cause they are that cute!

When I watch American Gangster...like I said earlier, that is what I saw when I heard Bumpy talking to Frank Lucas in the TV store...he was saying get your own and cut out the middle man...you can make so much more money by buying wholesale...not retail!!!
