Remember "Different Strokes"?

Today, BET had a "Different Strokes" Marathon on and I was wondering what happened to the cast and what are they doing these days.

I know that I am not the only person that loved to hear Arnold(Gary Coleman) say "what'chu talkin' 'bout, ...?" matter of fact I know I couldn't wait for him to say that each and every show and it never got old... at least not to me!!!

I know that the kids on the show had a few off off-set problems, which they say is common with kid stars in an adult world of Hollywood.

I know that Gary Coleman(Arnold) had to sue his parents for mishandling his money back in 1989 for mishandling his 8.3 million dollar trust fund...he filed for bankruptcy back in 1999. Arnold or Gary which ever you prefer to call him hasn't had really any success in kicking that childhood star stigma... although he has recently married Shannon Price on August 28, 1997. He has had a bunch of guest star appearances but not any major movie roles since the early 80's. As a kid I loved the movie "The Kid with the 200 I.Q", he has guest starred on "Martin", The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Wayans Brothers, a couple WWE Shows, and a few other things... but nothing more to shake a stick at.

Todd Bridges(Willis Jackson) who had some drug and anger management issues... He was arrested in 1997 for allegedly ramming someone's car after an argument. Todd has toured the US giving talks to kids about the dangers of drugs and peer pressure. His life is back on track, he is married(Dori) and has one child(Spencer Todd Bridges, Jr). Over his years he showed up in about 30 different projects since 1975 in "Katherine" to "Decision House" in 2007.

Dana Plato(Kimberly Drummond) who was Arnold's and Willis's sister on the show didn't have much more success as she became a adult if any at all... since she was kicked to the curb for getting pregnant, that was pretty much the same year that her career died... she later pass away May 8, 1999 of a prescription drug overdose.

Conrad Bain(Phillip Drummond or Mr. D as the boys called him) has been around for a long time, he was born back in 1923 and had major roles in sitcoms "Maude" and "Different Strokes", back in the 70's. There are some that believe that Mr. D also acted as a father-figure to Todd Bridges, Gary Coleman and Dana Plato off the set as well. Mr. Drummond is pretty much in retirement these days enjoying his time with his wife Monica, and his 3 sons, he has been married since 1945.

Do you have any favorite memories of "Different Strokes?"
I guess the direction all their lives went...they were really were different strokes for different folks!!!
