Tony Muhammad joins fight to protect our children

On April 1, 2008, Hip Hop Journalist and founder of urban news newspaper, Tony Muhammad joins the fight to protect our children and fully supports Bernadine Wade in her quest to bring awareness to the American Citizens on how our children are and could be sexually molested while going to and from School. This family can't get any support from the Jackson County Township School District, the Bus Company that was was contracted by the school board and district, or the Ohio Court System.

This is one of those situation where you never know... you think that your child is safe on the bus ride to and from and that could be so far from the truth, case in point, take the daughter of Bernadine Wade who was 7 years old at the time and mentally challenged and was being sodomized by a 16 year old boy on the not the school bus, but the school van... for nearly 2 years and not only did the driver not hear or see anything but even after the boy admitted to it and was sentenced and went to jail, he still stands by, "it didn't happen" saying such things as "if a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it, did it fall?" In my opinion, of course it fell, it is what it is.

The situation that worries me is that the school district and the courts has done nothing to fix the matters and driver gets promoted from the van duties to now driving the big regular school buses, so when he couldn't control a 7 passenger vehicle they put him in charge of a school bus that can transport anywhere from 59-90 kids. If he couldn't figure out that this girl was getting raped on a small van, how can he protect children on a large bus.

People argue that it is not the school responsibility or the bus company, I beg to differ...if I am putting my child on a school bus, they are responsible until my child reaches school, and then the school is responsible until my child returns to the bus for the ride home...until I grab my child's hand as she/he gets off the bus, now the responsibility is back with me, the parent.
