"The number one quality that defines great salespeople is optimism." Great salespeople tend to be positive, constructive people in facing the ups and downs of day-to-day life. One of the most important things is they really enjoy selling. They love what they do. They wouldn't want to do something other than selling. Unfortunately, probably 80 percent of people in sales continually think of doing something else. But the top sales people really enjoy selling and if they change jobs they change to another selling job. Number two is self-confidence. Number three is high self-esteem. They like and respect themselves and enjoy what they do.
